Introduction
on IB
IB education is renowned for its high-quality international education and worldwide recognition. Achieving IB candidacy is an important milestone for WUIS, especially as the school concludes its first two years of operation. (For more details about our candidacy, please check Here.) The IB authorization journey will help the school live up to its vision of offering world-class international education to the international community in Wenzhou. Throughout the candidacy period, WUIS will work diligently to align its practices and curriculum with IB standards, ensuring that students receive the best possible education.
IB Mission Statement
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Advantages of IB Education
• IB World Schools (the only schools authorized to offer IB programmes) are subject to a strict accreditation process monitored by the IB, ensuring that schools provide a high-quality education.
• IB teaching methods and curriculums are research-based and draw from the best educational practices from systems around the world.
• IB teachers are required to participate in many professional development opportunities to continually promote their awareness of current educational practices and new thinking.
• IB programmes are recognized internationally and ease the educational transition of mobile students so that their education is not adversely affected if their families relocate.
